lovin' at the lincoln

Most pregnant women who contact me for photography have a pretty clear idea of what they want – be it nudes, a surprise for their husband or more of a couples portrait to document this exciting, expectant time. These two are new to DC and really wanted to locate their photographs here. We had a lovely afternoon wandering the Lincoln Memorial and surrounding gardens. Their openness and tenderness really touched me. Here are two faves so far…more to come, especially of their new bambino born just a couple of days ago!

sweet, sweet twins

So, if you know me you know I’m a bit of a softie who weeps at movies and goodbyes…but I can tell you that every time I see those babies after creating the mama’s pregnancy portrait, my eyes well up and I am just amazed. Here are a some images that I love from this recent newborn session. These little guys are only a week old – perfect timing for a newborn session. Check out the last image where the neighbors all came to see the new babies for the first time!

new packaging

Well, once again, hats off to my amazing graphic designers at huntsmith design for coming up with fab new packaging for me. I love making every step of the portrait process special and delivering final prints wrapped up so nicely. The images below are all box mounted squares – a series of pregnancy portraits to go in the babies’ nursery. You can see a slideshow of these images in my June 24th blog entry with faves from the newborn session comin’ up next.

family fun

Wait, how did it get to be July already!? We’re back in DC and I’m working on editing all of the portrait sessions from Maine, many squeezed in between rain storms.

This was a bright though very foggy afternoon in this family’s garden where we had lots of laughs. I love all of their bright colors & patterns and ease with one another that comes through. More to come later this week….
