In the neighborhood
It’s feeling a little more like spring every day and the wonderful neighborhood phenomenon of running into people I haven’t seen in months has begun, so I know winter is really nearing it’s end.
While photographing outdoors is what I love chilly months are a great time for me to work inside. I was delighted to photograph the Capitol Hill Community Foundation Honorees again this year. You can see the group together below when we photographed them here in the studio. The individual portraits will be unveiled in the Awards Dinner program in April so you’ll have to wait a little longer to see those.
Kudos to Francis Campbell, Bill Phillips, Elizabeth Nelson and Nick Alberti for their dedication to making Capitol Hill the wonderful neighborhood that it is!

It often works this way, but still can surprise me….the primary photos have been made and then in a spontaneous, maybe “off” moment the killer image happens. Look at this gorgeous mama, after we’d done most of her head shots for work – so fun!

I’ve been doing more head shots lately which is always fun. I challenge my clients to think about how they want to portray themselves to their prospective clients and then we try lots of different looks, locations, etc.
We laughed alot – thanks to the great sense of humor of this stand-up comedian/management consultant!
