This has been a wet fall to say the least! I am thankful for the amazing weekend weather we’ve had but I’ve been caught in more downpours, camera in hand, than usual this time of year. Luckily, I’ve spent alot of time with this wonderful family so we were perfectly comfortable crowding together trying to stay dry during the sudden deluge mid-portrait session. Here are some faves of from the morning – thanks for braving the weather with me!

I’ll play a little catch up here and share some fall images that I never had time to post. Hard to remember this cool, rainy November day when we’re in the midst of a February springlike surprise.

I’ve photographed this little/big guy every year for the past few years – always with his lovely mama & papa and usually on the Capitol grounds or surrounding area. This year some of their cousins joined the fun too and we met at  The Yards Park down along the Anacostia River near the ballpark – what a  spot!

Since it was intermittently drizzling we had the place to ourselves which was amazing. We had a great time playing and exploring the park until everyone got too cold and retreated for a warming lunch.

What a treat for me to photograph a family I so enjoy being with and add even more of their wonderful family to the mix!

I have been photographing like crazy lately – for pregnant clients, for clients with newborn twins, families, Eastern Market and even my own kids. I’m trying to keep up with all of the editing and haven’t had time to post recent work.

For now, I just had to post this image of my little one at Union Station last week. She loves looking at all of the trains. There are more from this outing but this one is a fave and motivated me to post after a long week.

Next week I head to Maine for two weeks where I’ll photograph families in Kennebunk, Portland and Scarborough. Summer is coming – very exciting!
