What fun we had – five classes of preschoolers photographed in a Capitol Hill park in under 90 minutes! I hoped to give the parents a fun alternative to the traditional school photo and think we succeeded.

This weekend’s portrait sessions were the first ones that really looked and felt like Fall. Check out the gorgeous golden light on this guy and his beloved pup, Moxie.

Back in June, I came home inspired from this amazing portrait session with a five day old newborn. Simone was alert and wise already – she made my day! I realized then that I wanted to start a blog so I could readily share my best new images with my clients.

So often prospective clients ask me the best time for baby photos – there is no bad time [unless perhaps the baby-acne has set in]. Photographing such a little sprite reminded me that new baby photos are as spectacular as the ones of smiling 3 month olds or sitting and clapping 8 month olds.
